It takes two forces to bring an online poker room to life: the company running the room, and the company providing the software that runs the room. In the case of Betfair Poker, their second half was software developer Cryptologic, but no longer. According to statements made by Betfair management, by the end of October the two forces will part ways. A new platform is in the works for Betfair Poker, using an upgraded version of PokerChamps, proprietary software bought by Betfair a year ago for this very reason. PokerChamps and Betfair Poker will stay as separate entities, however. Player search and map, video content, player profiles and more will be added with the new software platform.
