Seeking an item to bid on during an online charity auction, newlywed and star of That 70’s Show Ashton Kutcher spotted a poker lesson with top woman player and poker pro Annie Duke and couldn’t resist. Kutcher and his new wife, actress Demi Moore, made their first official appearance in public since their September 24th marriage when they appeared at the Las Vegas, Nevada auction.
The uBid.com online celebrity auction, which was hosted at the Empire Ballroom, was raising money for the ongoing relief efforts for the survivors of Hurricane Katrina, and Kutcher grabbed up the poker lesson for a bid of $14,000. Kutcher and Moore felt compelled to attend the auction in order to help out with the relief efforts through the event. With his wife’s former Charle’s Angels Full Throttle co-star Cameron Diaz recently admitting an addictive fascination with the game of poker as well as other celebrity poker fanatics such as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Tilley, time will tell if Duke’s private session with Kutcher will give the star the chops for tournament play.
