Two years ago the Las Vegas Hilton reopened their poker room, a move seen by many as logical considering the health of the poker boom that had Sin City reeling. On October 17th, however, the poker room has officially closed its doors. VP of communication for the Hilton, Ira Sternberg, said that the space was being underutilized in terms of profitability. The poker room wasn't pulling in the money they had anticipated, and so it has gone away once again. The space will be put to use to "expand our slot product" according to reports.
