ePoker Room Blends Online and Live Poker

A newly opened poker room in the Hollywood Park Casino in Los Angeles now offers, as of last week, the only place in the country where poker players can try out the new ePoker Tables. No dealers sit at these tables, but one lives inside. A computer runs the game, just like when you play at an online poker room, but this time at a felt covered table. There is more than felt on the table, however: individual computer displays lay inset, showing you your cards and prompting you to use touch screen technology to make your bets, fold your hand, or move all in. The new ePoker Room at the Hollywood Park Casino runs more games per hour than a typical live game - which is good news for the casino. Not only do they not have to pay a dealer's wages, they get more rakes per day than the old fashioned way would allow them to get.
