It looks like the 2008 World Series of Poker will get started a day earlier than this year, according to the dates for the 39th annual WSOP recently released by the Series owner Harrah's Entertainment. To be held in the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, as it has been every year but one since Harrah's bought the brand, the WSOP will run from May 30 through July 17. While the details on events have not been released, it has been announced that the WSOP poker room will be open a few days earlier (May 26) to allow players to register for events early, hoping to stem the long lines of this year.
