One of America's biggest poker tournaments that is not part of a tour, the US Poker Championship, has come to a close, and Alex Jacob is the man of the hour. Jacob picked up his first major title when he won the Main Event Saturday, beating out the rest of the field, all of whom put up $10,000 to play. His victory over 261 other players earned him over $800,000, as well as the respect of many of the world's toughest players, who were in it against him. Jacob, wasn't the chip leader until play got down to three players, after which he battled for the lead, and kept it for the win.
