US Poker License Fans Hopeful

By launchpoker, Oct 2, 2008 New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez

New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez recently introduced an act that, should it be made into law, would eventually allow online poker to be legalized, licensed and regulated, something the poker fans in the US have been hoping for. The Internet Skill Game Licensing and Control Act of 2008, official designation S. 3616, would specifically change the current US gambling code to allow for the licensing of "Internet skill game facilities." This would allow for many card games that are played for money to be played online legally, with games like bridge joining poker.
