The Norwegian culture minister may be taking a page from US legislation about online poker, according to various sources. Trond Giske may offer up legislation similar to the U.S. Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) in Norway, which could ban online poker in that country. This is interesting news considering the first woman main event champion at the World Series of Poker is Norwegian Annette Obrestad, who won the World Series of Poker Europe this month. Obrestad won one million pounds sterling and is known primarily as an online poker player.
