On October 7 excited poker players will be rubbing the felt and cards will be in the air as a new poker room opens at the Lafayette River Club. Described as a "totally legal, above ground operation" by Matthew Lackey, the new poker room will be the place where the Lafayette River Club will be hosting a number of special events each month. Lackey is the Indiana public relations manager for River Clubs of Indiana, the organization that owns the Lafayette River Club and two other clubs. One special event will be a "college night" on the first Wednesday of every month where players with a valid college ID can skip the $25 entry fee.
