When poker took to the internet, there were many critics. One recently published U.S. Patent and Trademark Office application proposes using sophisticated RFID technologies to deliver tactile sensations of poker cards via broadband to online poker players. Considering the excitement revolving around the online poker rooms using webcam technology, the need to interact with fellow players is strong, and this new technology may have a place in the poker room of the future.
