Borgata Poker Open Begins

When Borgata opened its doors in 2003, they quickly secured a spot on the World Poker Tour, and the Borgata Poker Open has been a staple of the WPT ever since. This season's event is officially underway, with plenty of top players from around the country and the world paying their buy in and taking their seats. This year broke an attendance record at 560 players, putting together a prize pool of $5.4 million. Cyndy Violette, John D'Agostino, Mike Matusow, Barry Greenstein, Gavin Smith, Freddy Deeb and Tuan Le were all on hand, and all seven pros made it through to day two.
