Phil Ivey showed up at the European Poker Tour in Barcelona unexpectedly and unexpectedly finished second on Saturday. Bjorn Erik Glenne of Norway trounced Ivey in what appeared a clinic on how to play muscle poker. Ivey had no answer and walked away with the runner-up prize. As the final table began, Ivey had the chip lead and it seemed like the inevitable Ivey win was queued up, but a funny thing happened on the way to heads-up: Ivey was down 12 to 1 in chips. That's right, when the third place finisher left the table, Ivey had a severe disadvantage as the very, very small stack. Ivey had somewhere around 350,000 to Glenne's four million or so. And so, with a little struggle, Glenne brought down the Norwegian hammer on Ivey. Ivey went home with 361,000 Euro, while Glenne took home 631,000 Euro.
