In 2003, the biggest name in poker was Chris Moneymaker, a new online poker pro who managed to win a seat into that year’s World Series of Poker and win it. His success rate has been on again, off again, but recently he final tabled in the World Championship of Online Poker. Playing under his famous PokerStars screen name of Money800, Moneymaker landed at the final table of Event #5, finishing in 6th place for $179k. Moneymaker outlasted quite a few other pros in the event, including Ted Forrest who finished 20th.
