With some $12 billion flowing from consumer pockets into the coffers of the poker industry every year, some poker rooms are trying to do their best to get a larger piece of the poker pie using an unexpected tactic - they are sharing it with their customers. Each poker room takes a rake from every pot of a cash game - a small percentage of each pot that is the revenue for the room. Many poker rooms offer a rake back program, where a percentage of their percentage is awarded back to certain players. Still others moved further a field, sharing actual revenue. Not all such attempts are successful - AllInPoker.com recently announced their multi level marketing plan failed, and so did their business. Still, poker rooms are keeping the revenue sharing tactic alive, such as Casino Room, an online casino affiliate proposing a 45% income share from casino games for the first two months.
