The game of poker has long since left its roots where it was known as only a man's game, with plenty of big-name, high-profile female poker players winning championships and huge cash tournament prizes. From movie star Jennifer Tilly, to Annie Duke to Kathy Liebert, women have made the world of poker their own. According to a recent press release, a number of housewives out of Toledo, Ohio, have turned to the poker world to create jobs after searching for work at home opportunities. Becoming a poker affiliate allowed them to work from home and run their own business, showing that all aspects of the poker industry are open to women, not just becoming a professional poker player.
