The North Queensland chapter of the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club was planning to host a poker run in order to raise money to help the families of veterans, and veterans themselves, but was a bit disappointed by the turnout. Getting dealt a bad hand by the weather, many bikers chose to stay at home this year rather than participate in the poker run, which collected $20 from each participant in order to take part. The bikers made four stops to collect five playing cards, trying to build the best poker hand. You didn't need the best hand to win money, however, as the worst hand paid out $200; of course, the winning hand paid a lot more - $1200. All in all 210 motorbikes participated.
