Celebrity Poker Showdown can be credited with starting many players new to Texas Holdem on the road to obsession with the game that has the globe caught in its grip. There's something about celebrities - who may or may not know what they are doing when they play the game of poker - having fun that truly highlights the social, fun element of the game. In Costa Rica the WPS Summer Poker Showdown recently wrapped up where one of highlighted players was comedy actress Nicole Sullivan. Best known for her role on Mad TV and The King of Queens, she has done voice acting as well, and she helped add to the fun at the Poker Showdown. More than 140 players took part in the single day tournament, where the emphasis was fun.
