Poker Responsible for Record-Setting Day of Downloads on Xbox Live

For months the Xbox Live arcade game "Texas Holdem Poker" was one of the most discussed and highly anticipated games for the Xbox 360. When Microsoft offered the game to be downloaded for free for the first 48 hours that it was available, download records were broken as Texas Holdem and video game fans hurried to get in the game. Around 100 downloads per minute took place, and well 140,000. The game itself might have been responsible for pushing the total number of downloads over the 50 million mark since the Xbox was first introduced in 2002, a milestone recently confident by Microsoft.
