Barcelona Poker Event Starts Strong

The new season of the European Poker Tour is officially underway and going strong as 264 players signed up to play in EPT Barcelona Day 1A. A total maximum of 600 players is not out of the question, as 550 have already pre registered, including plenty of big name players. Katja Thater, Greg Raymer, Isabelle Mercier and Daniel Negreanu were all on hand to compete. Other big names that did not survive their day one include Roland De Wolfe, Ram Vaswani, and Sorel Mizzi. By the end of the day 99 players were all that were left with a guaranteed seat on Day 2.
