There were many firsts this year at the 37th annual World Series of Poker. One player, Jeff Madsen, became the youngest player ever to win a World Series of Poker bracelet, and then after winning a second one almost immediately, became the youngest WSOP millionaire. Jamie Gold took a record $12 million prize for his first-place finish in the Main Event, which drew a record-setting 8700 players. More firsts were a record number of sponsors signing up with Harrah's Entertainment, the owner of the WSOP brand. The latest such sponsor is Bic Lighter, which will now be known as "the official lighter of the World Series of Poker." In a related campaign, Bic has launched a micro site, FlickYourBic.com, where hopefuls can enter a sweepstakes for two player seats at the 2007 WSOP Main Event.
