One of the major concerns that many online poker players face is fraud and criminal intent when they are putting their money in an online poker account. To combat these concerns online poker rooms acquire certifications from well respected gaming authorities, giving them a needed stamp of approval. A Turkish online poker room seems to have taken a shortcut, however, according to the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of the Mediterranean island of Malta. The LGA recently released a statement pointing out that the Turkish language site Pokerzade claims to be regulated by the Malta Gaming Commission, but in fact is not. Pokerzade, operated by Estrichten Gronsche Limited, has not made an official response to the LGA's claims.
