Poker runs are always a popular activity for those seeking to raise money for charity, and this time it will be Muscular Dystrophy that benefits. A Motorcycle Poker Ride and Tent Party is going to be held on September 2nd by the Hamilton County Professional Firefighters Association, Local No. 4416, with proceeds going to benefit about 100 patrons in Hamilton County suffering form MDA. A poker run consists of participants paying an entry fee and then following a predetermined route, collecting playing cards along the way. The participant with the best poker hand is declared the winner, and usually wins the prize. Kicking off at the Westfield Fire Department, riders will drive a 100 mile trek, stopping along the way for lunch and refreshments.
