If there was one state in the United States that would be expected to have a poker championship, it would be Nevada, where Las Vegas is located, and they have finally come around to having one. The first annual State of Nevada Poker Championships will be held in Reno, not Las Vegas, and will be at the Grand Sierra Resort, where the series will run from September 25 to October 5 and boast 32 tournaments, at a clip of three events per day. All buy ins will be $400 except for the $200 Ladies State Championship and the $1,000 No Limit Holdem State Championship.
