Online Poker Tournament Prize Pool Passes $1 Million

Online poker room Poker Stars is known for big tournament prize pools, and the guarantee of at least $1 million for last week tournament turned out to be not even a close call as the prize pool moved up to $1,212,500 thanks to an online attendance of 2425 players. The top nine players finished with at least $13,000 and 330 places were paid. Typically in online tournaments a final deal is struck when it gets down to a handful of players but this time was different as player nicknamed "Ocrowe" hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia claimed the win along with $218,000. Second place finisher, Foxy Lisa, settled for $131,556, and the rest of the final table players combined somewhere near $250,000 altogether.
