Charity Benefits From Poker

When people think of poker games, they no longer think of backroom hideouts filled with smoke and rough characters, but they rather they think of TV Tables filled with slick pros and Young Guns, playing for millions of dollars. They might not think of something else that happens a lot with poker, and that is benefiting charities. From the local poker runs held by motorcycle clubs to the donations from shows like Celebrity Poker Showdown to the players like Barry Greenstien, who plays tournament poker strictly for charity, poker players are giving folk. Another example of that is the Ladies Invitational recently hosted by the Bicyle Casino in Bell Gardens, CA - the event which gave a large chunk of the prize money to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
