Asian US NASDAQ Listing a Poker Operator

One of the very first Asian Internet Service Providers to list on the US NASDAQ market is a poker and gambling operator. The company, Gigamedia, started out as an ISP company in the 1990's but is about to jump into the gambling market. Poker and slot machine websites are bringing in the most profits for the Taiwan company, so Gigamedia is throwing their weight into that effort. Posting profits that are up and healthy player numbers (54,000 new depositing players in the last quarter) Gigamedia is making a push to increase their value on the NASDAQ.
