In the southern state of South Carolina in the United States it is against the law to play any game with cards or dice, such as board games like Monopoly - and, of course, poker. Poker, however, is the only game people are being arrested for playing, and five men are fighting charges against them in hopes of challenging and changing the 206 year old law. They were part of 23 players arrested two years ago - the other players have plead guilty and paid fines ranging from $154 to $257; the game they were arrested for playing was a $20 poker tournament.
