On September 8 at Canterbury Park some well-known names from both basketball and poker will show up to play in the inaugural Trent Tucker Charity Poker Tournament. From Michael Jordan to Phil Ivey, professionals will play with all proceeds going to benefit the Trent Tucker Nonprofit Organization for Twin Cities youth programs. Canterbury Park, Polaroid, and the World Poker Store are all partners in this charity event. In addition to Jordan, big names from the NBA will include Patrick Ewing, Charles Oakley, and Scottie Pippen. As far as the poker professionals, Johnny Chan, Phil Hellmuth, Gus Hansen, Marcel Luske, and Chris "Jesus" Ferguson will also be on hand in addition to Ivey. Those wishing to buy directly into the tournament, which has a $50,000 first place prize, can do so for $2,500.
