Tim McGraw Finds Poker Sponsorship

Country singer Tim McGraw's charity foundation, the Tug McGraw Foundation, found a sponsor in Motorola for the annual event at the Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia on November 3rd. The event, "An Evening with Tim McGraw and Friends: Honoring Those Who Make a Difference" will honor Chicago White Sox First Baseman Jim Thorne and others, and one of the gala's focal points will be a poker tournament where plenty of sports and other celebrities will be playing. Kelly Perdew, the winner of Donald Trump's "The Apprentice", will be showing his poker skills as will Jim McMahon and Steve Carlton. In what may be a bit of irony the Master of Ceremonies will be none other than sports broadcaster Bob Costas, who has vocally put down poker because some claim it is a sport.
