There will be a lot of coverage of the first ever Asia-Pacific Poker Tour event coming up in Manila, not to mention the subsequent events in Korea, China, Japan and Australia. Pro players from around the globe and local talent from the Asia-Pacific area will swarm to these events to compete for money and glory, and PokerNews will be on hand to provide real time chip counts. The online poker site has been named the official media partner of the Asia-Pacific Poker Tour, according to a recent press release. The first event of the Asia-Pacific Poker Tour will run August 24-26, followed by the Korean event September 28-30, and a finale in Australia in December; the dates for the Japan and China events have not been announced yet.
