Mini Boom for Poker in July

Last month many of the major online poker rooms saw a jump in their numbers averaging an increase of 5% across the board. This is counter to the general idea that online poker is on the decline. In June of 2008 more than 12 million unique visitors took a turn at various online gambling sites. In July that number climbed to over 12.6 million, up about five percent. Only websites dedicated to movies, malls, and travel had a bigger jump from June to July in visitors, from six to ten percent.
