The infamous dealer-less poker tables that come from PokerTek have made their way into casinos in Atlantic City, and now are working their way towards Las Vegas. Recently the Nevada Gaming Control Board approved the tables, called Poker Pro, to be tested in Sin City. These computer controlled tables are outfitted with touch screens, and all card shuffling, chip wrangling and cash transactions are handled by the table’s computer programming. It is not known if these automatic poker tables would ever replace human dealers completely, but now that they can be tested in Las Vegas, the door to that possibility has been opened.
