The Professional Poker Tour has had a few schedule changes which were recently announced. The first event of the second season of the PPT is going to be held at Foxwoods on November 7, during which time the World Poker Tour will also be in attendance. The Professional Poker Tour was to start on September 11 during the Borgata Poker Open, but will now be held at Foxwoods. The Professional Poker Tour, created by the same outfit that created the World Poker Tour, will receive extensive television coverage by the Travel Channel with each episode broadcasting one quarter of the tournament. The reason for this format is to demonstrate how professional poker players make it to the final table of a big-time event.
