Poker Room Profits Down

In their report to shareholders last week UK based betting outfit Ladbrokes announced that the profits from their online poker room, Ladbrokes Poker, were down. This interim six month report outlined how the net revenue from poker has dropped by 15%, the average stake per player coming down from £160 to £144. This puts the total revenue at £15.7 million, down from £18.4 million. Competition is fierce in the online poker room market, and recent reports indicate that Euro centric poker room Everest Poker has had an effect on dropping client base.
