By launchpoker, Aug 9, 2006

One of the things that makes poker such an appealing game is when the amateurs compete with the pros and walk away with the big prizes, such as a North Wales amateur poker player who beat out top players to take home over $50,000. His World Series of Poker win came just a few days before his 30th birthday, giving the driving instructor a birthday present that put him in the top 1% of world players. Only two years into the game, Matt Morgan from Brumbo, Wrexham, won his spot in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker by winning an online qualifier at Betfair that included is $10,000 entry fee, airfare, hotel and spending money.
