It's getting down to the wire at the 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event. This is Event 39 in the 37th annual WSOP, and the starting field of over 8,700 players has pared down to less than a hundred. With nearly all the big-name pros busting out, such as Doyle Brunson, Chris Ferguson, Annie Duke, Joe Hachem, Greg Raymer and an all-time crowd favorite, Daniel Negreanu, it seems almost certain that an amateur is going to take on the $12 million this year. The 45 survivors still in the event will hit the felt around noon, and it will be interesting to see who will be the 27 players entering Day Seven.
