The European Union was planning on a meeting with the US to discuss current online gaming regulations next week, but the Americans have postponed the highly anticipated meeting. The EU was hoping to meet in order to discuss the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), which they view as a treaty violation, referring to the treaty put out by the World Trade Organization (WTO). The Washington, DC meeting has been put off, causing concern for the tone of the meeting when it is finally held. The challenge of the UIGEA was initially brought to bear by the island nation of Antigua and Barbuda.
