Poker Helps Launch Rock Paper Scissors

Rock Paper Scissors is experiencing a comeback of epic proportions in the United States, even earning special reports on ESPN which may very well lead to televised coverage. The game Rock Paper Scissors, which involves two players "throwing" their hands out in forming either a symbol for a pair of scissors, a rock, or a piece of paper, is a classic childhood game and a way that many used to settle civil disputes. Also a favorite of poker professional Phil Gordon, who sponsored a "RowShamBo" tournament at last year's World Series of Poker, using an alternate name for Rock Paper Scissors. The airtime it caught on last year's ESPN coverage of the WSOP has added to Rock Paper Scissors popularity this year.
