2006 WSOP: First Second Chance Event at WSOP Begins Today

While those 1400 or so poker players who made it past Days One and Two of this year's World Series of Poker get a day off, those who didn't make it get a second chance today. Event 40, the first of five events collectively known as the "second chance events", kicks off at noon in the Amazon Room. This, unlike the rest of the second chance events, will be a $1000 buy in event, and, like all the rest of the events this season, will be No-Limit Texas Holdem. Players who either could not afford to participate in the $10,000 Main Event or who busted out by the second day we'll get an opportunity to go for WSOP gold in the form of a coveted bracelet.
