The Fort Sill Apache Tribe of Oklahoma has been issued a subpoena regarding the details of a poker tournament held in Akela by the tribe about a month ago. The July 15 subpoena is asking for a description of the event to include the names of those who played in the event and employees working at the event, as well as the total number of folks who were involved with the poker tournament. The letter comes from the National Indian Gaming Commission complete with a dire warning about what might happen if they ignored the subpoena. It is unclear if the Fort Sill Apache Tribe will be complying with the demands.
