If the players at the Rio in Las Vegas today think they are under pressure on the first day of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker, imagine how much pressure they would feel if, when they busted out, instead of hitting the rail they had to jump from a plane. This is what happened to poker pro Phil "The Unabomber" Laak in Las Vegas recently; or rather in the airspace above Las Vegas. As a participant in the third installment of InterPoker.com's "Extreme Poker Challenge" Laak, along with four other players, played poker in an airborne plane. He, along with three of the other four, had to take the Losers Leap when they ran out of chips, parachuting safely to the desert below.
