As reported by Launch Poker a high tech scam involving high stakes poker was busted by New Jersey State Police at the Borgata casino in Atlantic City, and now the identity of the mastermind has been revealed. Steve Forte, a man who authored a book on how to avoid gambling scams, is a well-known Las Vegas casino expert, a man viewed by NBC Dateline as a trusted resource, and now a criminal charged with rigging poker games to cheat the players. In addition to Forte, Joseph T. Ingargiola, a pro poker player, and Stephen Phillips of Las Vegas and James C. Harrison of Duluth, Minnesota have all been charged with conspiracy, attempted theft by deception, computer assisted theft and use of cheating devices.
