2006 WSOP: Youngest WSOP Millionaire Yet

By launchpoker, Jul 27, 2006

Last week Jeff Madsen made history by becoming the youngest player ever to win a World Series of Poker bracelet at just over 21 years and 1 month, beating out the former holder of that distinction, Eric Froehlich, who made it at 21 years and 3 months last year. Madsen quickly put to rest any doubts in his skill this week when he won his second event, and the combined prize pools pushed his tournament winnings over a million dollars. This is undoubtedly going to reverberate in the poker world for some time to come, reinforcing the idea that anyone can win at the WSOP. His latest win, beating out big name pro Erick Lindgren for the prize, made him over six hundred thousand dollars.
