No Drop Planned for Poker Machines

There will not be a drop in poker machine numbers if Tasmanian Government Treasurer Michael Aird has his way. He is not against working to help resolve problem gambling, but lowering the number of poker machines is just not in his plans. He does want to throw more money at the problem, such as implementing a "Smart Card" program that would limit gambling. Members in opposing parties think that the number of poker machines should be reduced.
