2006 WSOP: Event 29 Kicks Off at WSOP

Many things are becoming common at the World Series of Poker this year. Players are putting up big bucks to play, the first day of most events sees huge numbers of eliminations, and every day someone new is winning a WSOP bracelet. Another common occurrence is happening again today, and that is two events kicking off the same afternoon. The first, a five thousand dollar stud event, is accompanied by Event 29, a Pot-Limit Holdem event with a buy in of half as less, at $2,500. Pot-Limit Holdem differs from No-Limit in how much a player can push into a pot at any given time. As the name suggests, the upper limit of the betting is equal to the amount of chips in the pot, making for some interesting strategies on tap for the start of this two day event.
