Empire Online is one of an exclusive club of buisness that is growing more and more inclusive, namely online poker rooms. Not all online poker rooms are stand alone, however, as many depend on poker networks that share tables, software, and customer bases in order to maximize exposure. One such company is Empire Poker, which was one of four skins, or marketing partners, of Party Gaming, or at least was until the deal was done in October and Party Gaming banned skin's players. In a recent trading statement Empire Poker said that their revenue dropped from $20.2 million in the second quarter of 2005 to $2.2 million. As a result Empire took legal action against Party Gaming and received a $250 million settlement.
