The decision to ban Malta-based company Zeturf from online horse betting was overturned by France's highest appeals court, potentially opening the door for online poker and online gambling in the future. The Cour de Cessation stated that the initial ruling to ban Zeturf's horse betting could not be justified, according to a report last Wednesday. Some look to this ruling as a positive sign to bolster efforts of online poker and online gambling in France. The case will return to a Paris appeals court to be reheard, which could be more than a year away.
