When Pharaoh Poker announced they would begin offering live video capabilities for their online poker players, the poker community begin to buzz with excitement. Set to launch this month, it looks like their timing is perfect, getting in ahead of their new competition in this new niche, a company called JNQ Global, Inc. JNQ will be using proprietary software that has been in development over the last nine months, efforts they hope will pay off when poker players trying out the new webcam action.
When players use the new niche online, they will be able to see the other players' faces, which brings back into the realm of poker strategy the ability to read tells. While not all tells are based on facial expressions, enough are that it could change the dynamics of the game.
