PPA Bit at WSOP

The World Series of Poker is always a spectacle and with crowds in the thousands it is a great place to have your message heard, especially if your target audience is poker players. Such was the case for the Poker Players Alliance, which showed up in force during this year's run at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Former New York Senator and current PPA Chairman Alfonse D'Amato was on hand, as was PPA President Michael Bolcerek. Their efforts helped draw more members to the grassroots organization dedicated to preserving the game of poker in the USA. Membership, which stood at around 100,000 last year, now stands at around 600,000.
