Irish Online Poker Players Rule Scottish Poker Championship

Hoping to reach the thousand pound main event in the Scottish Poker Championship at the Gala Maybury Casino in Edinburgh were two online qualifiers from the Irish poker site, paddypowerpoker.com. Once they manged the final table all bets were off, however, as Duncan Meekison managed a fifth place finish, worth 7,210 pounds. Dave Masters, however, took a different route. When the game got down to three players, one of whom was Masters, they decided to chop the remaining prize money three ways, giving them each 24,000 pounds. Masters, who has made three final tables over six major events, is ranked 18th in Europe for this year, and has surpassed 100,000 pounds so far.
